Pizza night done right

Besides waffles on Sundays, one of our favourite traditions at home is our weekly pizza nights. The girls and I have kept it for years, and usually includes a movie too ( isn't that combo the best ?)

keeping our meals healthy is a must at home. That means our pizza dinners come with sharing a big salad, keeping the crust thin and whole wheat and topped with tons of vegetables.

For a few months now we’ve been quite taken with Panago. It has become our go to place for our pizzas of choice. The reason being there’s something for everyone on their menu.

I love the fact that not only do they have the classic vegetarian toppings but that their menu is built with creative combinations that reflect the beauty and multiculturalism of our Canada. How not to be excited about options like their veggie Korma pizza? Made with coconut curry sauce, roasted garlic, baby spinach, green peppers, pineapple, mozzarella and cheddar, this is hands down one of my favorites.

Always striving to create healthier options, Panago recently launched their 100% organic tomato sauce, and now it is included in all their pizzas including the new Vegan Canadian. I’ve always said that besides the crust, what makes it or breaks it when it comes to pizza, is the sauce and this new addition to their menu is solid gold  and truly couldn’t go better over their made in house dough. To make things even better, and  always putting quality first, they support local farmers, don’t use MSG or artificial flavours and offer a gluten smart crust as well. In my books, this is Pizza made right.

Community is another one of the reasons I love Panago. They give back by working towards local involvement and long-term partnerships supporting programs such as children’s literacy, a cause dear to my heart. True food for thought.

After a busy week, pizza night gives my girls and I the chance to relax and unwind, and traditions like that need to be cherished and enjoyed forever. What are some of you family traditions? I would love to know!
