I couldn't imagine starting the day without breakfast. From waffles to Dutch Baby Pancakes, making breakfast for my girls is one of the things that brings me the most joy in life. Which is why I'm so happy to be supporting Toonies For Tummies, an initiative made possible by The Grocery Foundation. @sobeys is helping this program, through donations made in store, raising funds for school-based student nutrition programs across Ontario and Western Canada.⁣

This initiative is dear to my heart for many reasons, but mostly because the thought of more than 1 million Canadian school children starting their day without breakfast is truly heartbreaking. That's 1 in 5 children going to school on an empty stomach every day. Now, how can we help? Well, as little as a toonie can help transform the life of a child in your community. ✨ DULCE DE LECHE CHEESECAKE ✨
Utterly creamy, with hints of vanilla bean and topped with a decadent caramel sauce. It's my go-to Cheesecake recipe ever since I tried it via my friend @yogaofcooking who by the way, is a baking queen.
Top it with berries and a few flakes of Maldon, or maybe caramelized bananas and pecans? Either way, you'll love it!

The idea of balance has resonated with me for as long as I can remember. It's what I strive for not only in life, but in the kitchen too.⁣

While at home we put wholesome vegetables first, my kind of balance will always and forever include something sweet. Whether it's baked at home, or bought at a bakery or a store.⁣

Which is why I'm so excited about @umobakery new Japanese-style cakes and donuts! What makes them so unique is that they're steam-baked and this gives them an incredibly light and fluffy crumb.
